In what could be one of the biggest volleyball crossover, Philippine Superliga (PSL) powerhouse Petron and Premiere Volleyball League (PVL) champions Creamline beefed up their campaigns in their respective leagues as they held a tune-up match on Tuesday at the Gatorade Hoops Center.

Arguably the top two volleyball clubs in the country today from two rival leagues, the Blaze Spikers and the Cool Smashers shared the court and tested each other’s mettle in a tune-up clash as they embark on separate battles.

Apparently, Petron emerged victorious in four sets.

Petron is represented by American ace spikers Katherine Bell and Stephanie Niemer with its star-studded local supports in Mika Reyes, Aiza Maizo-Pontillas, Denden Lazaro and Rhea Dimaculangan

Creamline, meanwhile, has Alyssa Valdez, Jia Morado, Risa Sato, Michelle Gumabao and imports Kuttika Kaewpin and Aleoscar Blanco.

With both teams looking to defend their titles, it was a timely tune-up match for the two champion squads.
Still unscathed in 15 straight games, Petron is currently preparing for its upcoming semifinals duel against Cignal in the ongoing PSL Grand Prix 2019.
For Creamline, meanwhile, this served as its warm-up for the looming PVL Reinforced Conference 2019 which is set to kick off next month.
In a tweet, Alan Acero, regional sales of Rebisco, manufacturer of Creamline, thanked Petron for welcoming them in their home court and wished the former good luck.
