Carlos Yulo delivered a pair of top-ranked performances en route to a gold-medal finish in the Men’s Artistic Gymnastics Individual All-Around event Sunday afternoon at Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
Yulo, coming off a historic World Championship stint in Germany, put together scintillating performances at the Floor Exercise and Horizontal Bar events to give him an edge over the visiting Vietnamese.
The Filipino gymnast registered a total score of 84.900 to best Dinh Phuong Thanh, who had 82.360, and Le Thanh Tung, who accounted for 81.700.
Yulo went on to secure two more second-ranked finishes that would eventually put him ahead of the pack.
