Thirdy Ravena starred off the bench for Gilas Pilipinas as it bucked foul trouble to take down host Indonesia, 100-70, in the first window of the 2021 FIBA Asia Cup qualifiers at the Britama Arena in Jakarta Sunday.
The younger Ravena was a steadying force for the Philippines and scattered 13 of his team-high 23 points in the third quarter to help his side overcome a pesky Indonesian side that repeatedly found its way back before running out of steam in the final period.
Ravena also added 8 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 blocks as Gilas also drew a big offensive night from Roger Pogoy, who scored 16 points and grabbed 6 boards.
