Filipino horror fans have another new horror film to look forward to as The Black Phone 2 is coming to cinemas in the Philippines on October 15.

Yes, this is the sequel to 2022’s The Black Phone by Scot Derrickson (of Sinister and Doctor Strange fame). For this new film, Derrickson is back at the helm, and he is once again joined by Ethan Hawke who reprises his role as the Grabber. Also returning are Mason Thames as Finney, the Grabber’s only known surviving victim, and Madeleine McGraw as Gwen, Finney’s sister.

When the first movie was released, it became a big hit, earning over USD 160 million. This is made even more impressive by the fact that the film only had a USD 18 million budget at most. Plus, it also got pretty good reviews from both critics and horror fans.

As such, there are plenty of people who are excited for this sequel, especially considering that its made by the same director and sees the main cast return.

Black Phone 2 arrives in Philippine cinemas on October 15, 2025. More details on the film’s PH release, including its cinema list, will be shared closer to its release on the official Universal Philippines social media pages.

For horror fans who can’t wait to watch a chilling film on the big screen though, the new horror film Weapons is now showing in PH cinemas.
