Jaja Santiago made history with the Saitama Ageo Medics after the squad barged in the semifinals following a come-from-behind 25-20, 16-25, 23-25, 25-23, 15-12, win over NEC Red Rockets in the Japan V, Premier League Division 1 on Sunday.

The Filipina hammered down 17 spikes in her 20-point effort while Croatian Katarina Barun wound up with 26 points for Ageo Medics.

The squad closed the Final 8 Group A with three wins in as many outings to earn seven points behind Denso Airybees.

Ageo Medics will take on Group B’s top seed JT Marvelous in the semis next week.

Okayama Seagulls and Denso Airybees clash in the other Final Four pairing.
